Can you believe the second annual The Southport Cup is coming up next month??? Where has the time gone? We’re so excited and have a great race planned for everyone. Go to https://sycnc.org/yachting for the Notice of Race and Registration forms. Come on and get your boats off the docks and on the water!!!
We have some things to share:
• The captains’ meeting is at 6 p.m. Friday September 6 at Southport Marina. Fleet Captain Scott and Commodore Chris will provide course information and start times. We’ll be selling our new The Southport Cup hats at the meeting. Better grab them while they are available.
• If you would like to help out for either the Captain’s Meeting or the After Party, please let either Diane Salyer (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Cindy Killian (email@example.com) know ASAP.
• Are you wanting to race; however do not have crew? Do you want to crew with someone? We have a list of people on our website (Under Yachting) either looking for crew or are available to crew. If you want to be added, send your name, phone, email, City you live in, years experience and what type of boat to Chris Webster (firstname.lastname@example.org)
• The after-race party and awards ceremony will be at American Fish Company Saturday September 7 after the race, starting at 5. The food at this event is free to all The Southport Cup Regatta captains and crew and will cost $10 per person for non-racing Club members. Please see Cindy Killian at American Fish to pay. There will be a 50/50 so get ready to win!
We want to thank all racers, volunteers, spectators and sponsors for making this a great event! We couldn’t do it without contributions by so many!
