We will be cruising to Banks Channel in Wrightsville Beach June 9-11 (we have a backup date set for 6/23-25 in case of weather or cold water issues). Power and sail boats are welcome. Make sure to bring your good anchor equipment as we will be anchored out the entire time. Those boaters that need to be plugged in can stay at Sea Path Marina and dinghy over to the raft up although we encourage you to “unplug” and enjoy the experience of an “old fashioned” raft-up. It’s coming up soon, so please RSVP by registering on the website or contact Mike Gibson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Leave at your leisure on Friday – just try to be there before dark. Banks Channel is between Wrightsville Beach and the ICW. It’s a 3-5 hour motor/sail for sailboats depending on the tide and under 2 hours for power boats. Spend the weekend rafted up with others or anchored nearby on your own. Bring appetizers and sides to share and your own meat to grill. Friday night will be heavy appetizers. Spend Saturday floating in the blue water and having boat drinks! More boat drinks Saturday night and grilling on the boats or head into town for dinner. Leave at your leisure on Sunday. Also, don’t forget your water toys, rafts, kayaks, etc. Dogs are welcome as there is an uninhabited island just a short dinghy ride away. Also, for those of you that can’t make the whole weekend, feel free to come up for the day – It’s a great experience!
